The research interests include Photoelectrochemistry of Semiconductors, Photoelectrocatalytic oxidation, Heterogeneous and Homogeneous Photocatalysis, Advanced Oxidation Processes, Solar Detoxification and Disinfection of Wastewaters, Drinking Water and Air. Most recently research efforts are focused on hydrogen production by using photoelectrochemical/photosynthetic processes.
